Capability

Water, oil, and alcohol liquid systems in-house

Our liquids line handles three distinct base systems: aqueous, oil-carrier, and alcohol-extraction. Together they cover the full range of retail liquid supplement formats. Functional shots, tinctures, drops, oil-based vitamins, and carrier-oil actives all run on dedicated equipment.

Fill volumes span 5 ml single-serve shots up through standard bottle sizes (30 ml, 50 ml, 100 ml, 250 ml, 500 ml). Dropper bottles, shot bottles, amber glass, and PET formats are all supported. Capping, labelling, and shrink-sleeving run in-line, so what leaves here is retail-ready.

Stability is the technical bottleneck for most liquid supplements. Our NPD pathway validates each formulation across temperature, light, and microbial stress before we commit to production. Where preservation is needed we work with compliant preservative systems; where it isn't (alcohol-based tinctures, oil-based supplements) we document the stability data instead.

  • Fill volumes from 5 ml to 500 ml
  • Water-based, oil-based, and alcohol-based systems
  • Dropper, shot, and bottle formats (glass and PET)
  • In-line capping, labelling, and shrink-sleeving
  • Stability and microbial testing to retail spec
  • Compliant preservative systems where required

Format fit

Liquids are the right format if...

Liquids are the right format for rapid-onset actives, consumer premiumisation, and category-defining formats like functional shots. A 60 ml energy shot delivers faster than a capsule, a 10 ml sleep tincture feels more considered than a tablet, and an MCT oil supplement needs an oil carrier, so there's no capsule alternative.

Choose liquids over powders when your target buyer won't mix or measure. Choose liquids over gummies when absorption speed matters. Liquids have higher unit costs than capsules or gummies. Your pricing and margin need to support the format choice.

  • You need rapid absorption or rapid onset
  • Your format is functional shot, tincture, or oil-based supplement
  • Your consumer expects a premium ritual experience
  • Your active requires an oil carrier (MCT, omega-3, vitamin D3)
  • Your positioning supports a higher unit price point

Process

From brief to pallet: the liquid pathway

1. Brief and feasibility. Send us your formulation brief and target fill volume. We check base compatibility, bottle/format options, stability plan, and Novel Foods status if relevant. First response within 48 hours.

2. NPD and formulation. Liquid NPD often runs 6 to 10 weeks because stability testing is the longest step. You approve sensory, stability, and claims at each sampling round.

3. Sampling. Pilot batches for sensory, stability, microbial, and claims validation before committing to production.

4. Manufacture. Production under BRCGS AA* controls on our dedicated liquid line, with in-process QC and full batch traceability.

5. Pack and finish. In-line capping, labelling, shrink-sleeving, cartons and outers. Your liquids leave here retail-ready.

6. Despatch. Palletised delivery to your 3PL, distribution centre, or warehouse, with the full documentation pack retail buyers ask for.

Liquid production process

Liquid manufacturing FAQs

Common questions from brands looking at UK liquid supplement production.

What's the MOQ for liquid supplement manufacturing in the UK?

1,000 units per SKU standard. For small-volume tincture dropper bottles (10 ml, 30 ml) we may flex on this during initial retail testing. Get in touch to scope your specific product.

What fill volumes do you support?

5 ml (small shots, concentrated drops) through to 500 ml (large bottle formats). Most production runs between 10 ml (tinctures) and 100 ml (shots and functional oils).

Can you do alcohol-based tinctures?

Yes. We produce alcohol-extraction tinctures, typically for herbal extracts where alcohol is the appropriate solvent system. All alcohol handling is compliant with UK licensing requirements handled by us.

Do you handle oil-based supplements?

Yes. MCT oil carriers, fish and algae omega-3, vitamin D3/K2 in olive or MCT, and similar oil-based formats. Stability and oxidation testing are built into the NPD process.

Can you produce preservative-free liquid supplements?

Depends on the formulation. Alcohol-extraction tinctures and many oil-based products are naturally shelf-stable without added preservatives. Water-based products usually require a preservative system, we use compliant, low-allergen options where possible.

Are your liquids Informed Sport capable?

Yes. Full Informed Sport protocols including per-batch banned-substance testing. Relevant for sports-nutrition liquid supplements and functional shots targeting elite athletes.

Are your liquids BRCGS certified?

Yes. BRCGS AA*, the top available grade. Per-batch identity, potency, microbial safety, and heavy metals testing, with Certificate of Analysis per batch.
