Compliance and Quality
Quality and Accreditations
BRCGS AA* certified, the top available grade. ISO Class 7 cleanroom. COA per batch. Novel Foods dossiers held. Informed Sport capable. The documentation your retail buyer asks for, as standard.

Certification
BRCGS AA*, the top grade
The BRCGS Global Standard for Food Safety is the benchmark audited food-grade manufacturing standard in the UK and EU. It's what major UK grocery, pharmacy, and private-label retailers expect their supplement suppliers to hold.
AA* is the top available grade. It's awarded on an unannounced audit (no advance warning to tidy up) with zero non-conformities across the full scope of the QMS: ingredient approval, process control, QC, documentation, complaint handling, traceability.
Our BRCGS AA* covers every batch we produce across capsules, gummies, powders, and liquids. The audit certificate, QMS summary, and any specific compliance document your buyer asks for, we send on request.

Sport
Informed Sport capable production
For brands supplying elite, professional, or collegiate sport, banned-substance assurance is non-negotiable. An athlete failing a drugs test because of a contaminated supplement ends careers and litigation.
Our production is set up for Informed Sport protocols: raw material screening against the WADA banned-substance list, segregated production runs to eliminate cross-contamination risk, and per-batch banned-substance testing on finished product. Informed Sport certification is granted per-product, per-batch, we handle the testing and documentation workflow.
Relevant if you're supplying anyone with a drugs-testing contract: elite team sports, professional athletics, Olympic and Paralympic pipelines, collegiate NCAA programmes.

Regulatory
Novel Foods dossiers, held
Novel Foods is a hard blocker for a lot of functional ingredients in UK and EU markets. Ingredients not 'commonly consumed to a significant degree' before 15 May 1997 need Novel Foods authorisation, and the dossier process takes years plus six figures.
We hold multiple Novel Foods dossiers. Brands developing products within the scope of our dossiers can work under our authorisation rather than starting the Novel Foods process from zero, that's months of regulatory time saved and a clear market access path.
Have an ingredient outside these dossiers and unclear on its regulatory status? We scope it during NPD feasibility. If your product needs new Novel Foods work, we'll flag that upfront rather than discovering it mid-launch.

Also certified
SEDEX, GMP, Soil Association
Alongside BRCGS AA*, our site holds:
- SEDEX: ethical supply chain audit, relevant for brands whose retailers run ethical sourcing due diligence (most UK grocery and a growing share of pharmacy and DTC).
- GMP: Good Manufacturing Practice, the baseline manufacturing standard for food and supplement production.
- Soil Association: organic certification for brands developing organic-certified supplement ranges.

Environment
ISO Class 7 cleanroom
Some formats and some actives are too sensitive for general production floor conditions. High-dose vitamins degrading on humidity exposure, probiotic strains losing viability under particulate load, peptide formulations needing low-bioburden fill, these need a controlled environment.
Our ISO Class 7 cleanroom holds particulate and microbial load to a specified controlled limit, with logged gowning, airlock transitions, and environmental monitoring across every batch run there. Available for encapsulation, powder blending, and liquid filling when the formulation calls for it.

Testing
Certificate of Analysis with every batch
Every production batch ships with a Certificate of Analysis covering identity, potency, purity, microbial safety, and heavy metals. Third-party lab results where your spec demands them, validated in-house QC data for the rest.
Heavy metals panel covers the California Prop 65 shortlist as a baseline (lead, arsenic, cadmium, mercury), relevant for US export and UK retailer specs. Tighter limits are available where your product category requires them (e.g., children's supplements, daily-use high-dose vitamins).
Retain samples are held for the full retail shelf life, so if a batch is queried downstream we can re-test from original stock rather than relying on buyer-side samples.
- Identity and potency (HPLC, UV, titration per formulation)
- Microbial: total aerobic count, yeast, mould, specified pathogens
- Heavy metals: lead, arsenic, cadmium, mercury
- Moisture, particle size, homogeneity where relevant
- Retain samples held for full shelf life
- Third-party lab partnerships for specialist assays

Retail
Built for listing, not just production
Everything that leaves here is retail-ready: artwork reviewed for regulatory compliance (EFSA, FSA, FDA per market), barcodes (EAN/UPC) applied and verified, tamper-evidence to retailer spec, carton and outer quantities matched to retail pallet configurations.
For brands new to retail we'll walk your buyer through the documentation pack directly: supplier questionnaires, BRCGS certificates, specifications, COAs. The gap between 'factory done' and 'on shelf' is usually documentation, and we close it before it becomes yours to chase.

Compliance and Quality FAQs
Common questions about our certifications and testing.
Are you BRCGS certified?
Yes. BRCGS AA*, the top available grade. Awarded on unannounced audit with zero non-conformities. Certificate available on request.
Can I see your certifications before we sign?
Yes. We provide the full certification and documentation pack on first enquiry: BRCGS audit certificate, QMS summary, Novel Foods authorisation, Informed Sport protocol, sample COAs. We don't gate this.
Do you test for heavy metals?
Yes, per batch: lead, arsenic, cadmium, mercury as standard. Tighter limits available for children's products or high-dose daily-use supplements. Relevant for California Prop 65 export and UK retailer-specific specs.
What's Novel Foods and why does it matter?
Novel Foods is UK/EU regulation requiring authorisation for ingredients not commonly consumed before 15 May 1997. Without authorisation, an ingredient can't be sold as food/supplement in-market. We hold multiple dossiers, speeding market access for brands using related ingredients.
Can you produce for Informed Sport?
Yes. We run Informed Sport protocols end-to-end: raw material screening, segregated production, per-batch banned-substance testing. Product-level Informed Sport certification is granted per-batch and we manage the submission workflow.
What's ISO Class 7 cleanroom and why is it important?
ISO Class 7 is a controlled-environment classification (less than 352,000 particles, 0.5 micrometres or larger, per cubic metre). Sensitive formats (probiotic strains, peptide actives, low-moisture high-dose vitamins) need controlled particulate and microbial load. Our cleanroom is available for those runs.
The paperwork your buyer will ask for, as standard.
