The Story So Far
Founded in 2021 by Cary Holmes and Stacey Wilkins, Nootro Group began with a simple belief: that wellness products should be made properly. From the outset, the focus has been on building a business grounded in quality, care and accountability, taking the time to do things to the right standard rather than the easiest one.
The wellness industry has grown quickly, but the standards behind it have not always kept pace. Nootro was created to approach things differently, with a clear commitment to thoughtful formulation, transparent ingredient sourcing, careful controlled manufacturing, and full regulatory alignment from the beginning.
The aim has always been the same: to produce products that are not only effective, but made in a way that brands, retailers and consumers can genuinely trust.
We chose a bespoke-only model deliberately. It is harder to run than a white-label operation, narrower in market, and we filter out brands looking for shelf SKUs they can repackage. What we get in return is the ability to build genuinely differentiated products with our clients, products they can defend in retail conversations and own commercially.

Quality and compliance
A trusted partner to growing brands
Quality and compliance sit at the centre of everything Nootro does. Production takes place within a BRCGS AA* accredited facility, supported by an ISO Class 7 cleanroom environment, ensuring products are manufactured to a standard suitable for leading retail distribution.
Nootro also holds three UK FSA Novel Foods dossiers for CBD, reflecting a considered, long-term approach to navigating complex regulatory frameworks.
Since launch, Nootro has worked alongside a wide range of brands across CBD, functional mushrooms, nootropics, adaptogens and nutrition products. Products manufactured by the company are now found across established retail channels including Holland & Barrett, Tesco, Boots, Sainsbury's and Amazon.
Alongside third-party manufacturing, Nootro has begun developing its own product range under Nootro Labs Essentials, applying the same principles internally while continuing to support partner brands. Over time, this dual approach is helping to shape a broader platform, combining manufacturing expertise with product insight and brand development.
We publish our BRCGS grade, our MOQ, and our lead times because brand founders deserve those numbers upfront, not dragged out of a sales process. The rest of our business is built on the same principle.
